Autism Assessment Components ADOS-2 & ADI-R

I am trained in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R), internationally recognised as gold-standard tools for autism assessment.

ADOS involves structured, play-based or conversation-based tasks that allow me to observe communication, interaction and behavioural patterns.
ADI-R is an in-depth developmental history interview that helps understand your (or your child’s) early experiences, traits and differences.

This level of training enables me to carry out or contribute to robust autism assessments, interpret findings within a wider life context, and support individuals or families in understanding results and accessing meaningful next steps.

What I Provide

I offer specialist autism assessment components using the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) and the ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised).

These tools provide structured, evidence-based information about social communication, behaviour, sensory presentation, and developmental history.

ADOS-2 Module 3 or 4 – a semi-structured, standardised observation.

ADI-R – a detailed developmental history interview with a parent or caregiver.

Scoring and interpretation of both tools.

Are written clinical summary that can be given to

• a psychiatrist

• or an NHS/private diagnostic team

What This Is (and Isn’t)

This service provides the core components used in autism diagnostic assessments, but it does not include a formal medical/clinical diagnosis. If a diagnosis is needed, the report I create can be forwarded to a clinician with diagnostic authority to complete the final stage.
